“Ethical marketing” seems to be trending, but most of what’s being called ethical… isn’t that ethical at all.😒
Real ethical marketing doesn’t pretend to care but secretely use psychological tactics to coerce you into buying, even though we can all feel it.
Real ethical marketing actually cares. Real ethical marketing will be there at 3am when your coffee is stale, your hairs a mess and you're trying to write your own website copy with 200 unopened tabs (so you don't have to be up at 3am working in the first place, Chad)
Real ethical market cares about you, communities, the earth and whether you've had time to go for a walk.
It facilitates relationships and helps you make informed decisions.
Oh, and yes, it still converts. (Actually, it converts better, but that's a conversation for another day)
The point is people buy when they feel safe, not pressured.
So don't make it weird.
