It is the last month of winter and the grass is much shorter already. This gives us the opportunity to spot the smaller animals, which are often hidden in the tall grass during the summer months. We were incredibly lucky to find this Serval after Sundowners. She was already hunting in the last daylight and getting ready for a night out at Mjejane Game Reserve.

He was lazing in the afternoon sun ☀️ When he noticed that he was being observed, he let us take a few pics and vids and then stood up and disappeared in front of our eyes. The leopard is the hallucination of the bush. Now you see him, now you don’t 🐆🧡🐆

It has been such a pleasure watching our Verreaux’s Eagle Owl chick grow up! One of the parents had caught a Natal Spurfowl the other morning. Though the chick has fledged almost a year ago now, he is still dependent on his parents for food. The parent had called him in but, to the chick’s dismay, the food was not shared immediately. On the video, the youngster can be seen begging impatiently by wiggling around and calling🦉🤎🦉
