We had a healthy disrespect for the advertising regime of the time and we made it our mission to shake things up and do things differently. In our first year we were named FM Ad Focus Emerging Agency of the year. By our 5th birthday in 1999, we had won overall South African Agency of the Year and we went on to win more South African Agency of the Year accolades than any other agency up until today
. In 2000 we were recruited to join the world’s leading Advertising Network, BBDO Worldwide. Since then, Net has contributed to the BBDO worldwide group winning The Gunn Report an unprecedented 7 times with South Africa’s first Cannes Grand Prix for outdoor in 2007, and then Radio GP’s in both 2011 and 2012, another example of S.A. punching above its weight. What makes us, and of course our clients, really happy though is that the very same work that won those creative awards has won Apex awards for effectiveness, further proof that creativity is not about awards, its about business-changing ideas. On the home-front, Net Jozi is today run by Boniswa Pezisa [Group CEO] Gau Narayanan [MD] Brad Reilly [ECD] Joy Garcia [Head of Client Service] and Sarah Snyman [Head of Innovation] .
