I was lucky enough to have someone give me this one piece of advice very early on in my career - NOT EVERYTHING IS A PRIORITY.
Learn to identify between what is important and what is not. I know when I do this, my anxiety is less, and I am better at not creating demands for myself.

I write a daily to do list. It often ends up looking like the matrix above. This was before I was introduced to the concept.

A nifty little tool. A great way to plan your day. Ensuring you don’t give into future thinking, multitasking, but instead focus on each task at a time.

Our brains have not developed to multitask, yet our cellphones, our environment, society, forces us to do so in every moment. Too much sensory stimulation is not a good thing.

As with most things, what you put in, is what you’ll get out. Learn to identify the real priorities, eliminate those unnecessary demands that only exist in your head.

This is a human right's issue. If you skim over this, and think it doesn't apply to you, IT AFFECTS US ALL. We have to become aware. Change our thinking. Actively participate in the education. Live it, so others may see it too. It's simply not good enough to 'say nothing'. It's not working. We have to do more to eradicate systemic racism and sexism.
