Protint (Pty) Ltd began in 1983 as a window tinting company, installing tinted films as
well as clear safety films. This contract with the SAPS amounted to 25 000 square meters of 360 micron safety film. The installation of tinted and clear safety film has become more and more popular on motor vehicles, for aesthetic as well as security (Anti smash and grab) reasons. This is an aspect of the indu
stry that Protint is very involved with through constant staff training and R&D as new models appear on the market. Protint began cutting and installing sandblast look alike vinyl decals in 1998. This sector of the business has gone from strength to strength and now forms a major part of the business. Installation is handled by a dedicated team who regularly install precision cut vinyl in excess of 600 square meters at a time. Changing demands of our clients necessitated the introduction of new products. These include vehicle branding and full wraps, different types of PVC banners, stickers, printed wall paper, canvas prints, any large format digital printing and various forms of signage.
