So proud to be a team player in this “one of its first” Glamour Beauty Lounges.

Crema offers the latest beauty and non-evasive aesthetic treatments, in the most fabulous setting, found in .modderfontein center. With a complimentary bar, friendly faces and the most fabulous pink, floral decor, Crema has been an amazing environment to market for.

Strategizing for Crema has been one of my most creative, weekly challenges. Beauty is one of the most popular entities marketed on Social Media platforms. The product and services of beauty is very visual, from filming procedures to taking “befores and afters” to much more. One of the latest marketing trends we have incorporated is the use of Instagram Reels, in which us marketers get to have fun with music and different filming styles.

Thank you Crema for this ongoing journey, from the shiny seed you started off as 🌱, to the beautiful flower that you have blossomed into. 🌸 Onwards and upwards!

It’s all about position!! And when positioning food for shooting, one of my favorite moves is to place the food in a “magic curve” and following through with the fluidity of my tripod... starting out of frame. And finishing out of frame too...

Oggie, one of our very favourite interior clients, makes it so easy to shoot with their incredible hardwood flooring and design. Their showroom in Parkhurst is built in such a way that sunlight shines from every angle and corner into the space, lighting up and catching every etch of grain of their first class wood. Favourite piece is the spiral staircase, made of Oggie wood slates, hung in a spiral. Could shoot those stairs for hours!

If interior design is your thing, Oggie Showroom is a must where you can appreciate the rolls Royce of hardwood flooring in South Africa.

What is the strongest media to use ?✔️?
Between posting a 📷photo or video? 🎥

What do we say... :

Photos aren’t more effective than video, or vice versa.
They both suit different strategies for different types of content.

📸A photo is strongly supported by the text/copy that you use along with it. Make sure your copy adds the information that the photo DOESN’T portray...

However some photos capture a moment that speak volumes. But then it really needs to be a good photo👌🏻

🎥A video however expresses a seamless story, from beginning to end of what it is showing. Most often, no text/copy needed, just relevant hashtags.

A video is therefore often a stronger tool but only if used correctly. It has to have the following criteria these days:

▪️needs to be short and to the point
▪️needs to capture your attention quickly before your viewer scrolls to the next one
▪️the sound needs to be clear if there is sound, or subtitles need to be added

In our opinion, pick the video rather if it portrays what your goal is... (maybe because we are film students 😉) these days people are getting lazier and lazier to read comments below. They want the content played out to them, from beginning to end, and they can then flick over to the next piece of content with ease...
