Today, I had the honour and privilege of attending the 2026 Umhlanga Reed Dance Ceremony, and what an unforgettable experience it was.

As I stood among thousands of Emaswati gathered to witness and celebrate one of our most treasured cultural traditions, I was reminded once again of the beauty, dignity and richness of being LiSwati. Umhlanga was truly a spectacular celebration of who we are as a nation.

What touched me most was seeing our Imbali proudly embracing and participating in a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation. Their discipline, unity, respect and enthusiasm demonstrated that our culture remains alive and relevant, and their unwavering loyalty to Their Majesties.

The atmosphere at Ludzidzini was filled with joy, pride and unity. It was beautiful to see Emaswati from different parts of the country, alongside visitors from beyond our borders, coming together to witness this remarkable celebration of Eswatini's heritage.

Umhlanga is more than just a cultural event. It is a powerful reminder of our identity, our values, our history and the importance of preserving our traditions and the institution of the Monarchy for future generations.

Today, I leave with a heart full of pride and gratitude. I am proud to be a LiSwati. I am proud of our culture. I am proud of our traditions. I am proud of Eswatini. 🇸🇿❤️

May we continue to protect, preserve and proudly showcase the beauty of our heritage to the world.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend a community report presented by Lubulini MP and Minister of Economic Planning and Development, Dr Thambo Gina, at Nkungwini under Mngometulu Chiefdom.

The impressive turnout was a clear demonstration that Emaswati are hungry for development and eager to participate in and support His Majesty King Mswati III’s vision for the development of the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Such community engagements are important because they bring leadership closer to the people, allowing Emaswati to hear about development plans, share their concerns and actively participate in shaping the future of their communities.

Next week, the MP will take the report to Mabantaneni. All residents are encouraged to come out in numbers and participate in this important engagement.

Inkhosi itobe isiphekele sive, let us continue working together for the development and prosperity of Eswatini. 🇸🇿

MUST WATCH: IF ESWATINI IS TRULY SO DANGEROUS, WHY DOES MAGAWUGAWU AND HIS FELLOWS IN IRELAND STILL DEPEND ON ESWATINI FOR THEIR LIVELIHOODS? 🇸🇿

Those who left the Kingdom for Ireland and Britain claiming they could no longer live safely in Eswatini should ask themselves an important question, if the country they condemned is still the source of the income, families and opportunities that sustain them, what does that say about their claims?

It has been publicly observed that some individuals abroad continue to rely on financial support connected to Eswatini or seek to generate income from Eswatini-related activities while living overseas. Instead of portraying the Kingdom as a place beyond hope, they should acknowledge the people and institutions that continue to make their livelihoods possible.

Rather than promoting a narrative of fear and division from afar, the patriotic choice is to return home, participate in nation-building, and contribute positively to the Kingdom's development under the leadership of His Majesty King Mswati III and Government.

Eswatini belongs to all EmaSwati. We resolve our differences through dialogue, respect for our institutions, and a shared commitment to peace and national progress, not by condemning the country while continuing to depend on it.

The future of Eswatini will be built by those willing to stand with the nation, not by those who seek to undermine it from abroad.

••••MUST WATCH••••
Cabinet unity is not optional, it is a constitutional and governance responsibility. Ministers who take Cabinet deliberations outside the Cabinet room to lobby Parliamentarians against the very Cabinet they serve undermine collective responsibility, unity, and public confidence in Government.

Under the Tinkhundla System of Governance, Cabinet must speak with one voice. Once a decision has been reached, every Minister has a duty to defend it in Parliament, before the nation, and wherever Government is represented. Internal disagreements should be resolved through established Cabinet processes, not through parallel campaigns or political lobbying.

In many countries, acting against collective Cabinet decisions is regarded as serious misconduct because it weakens Government, creates confusion, and fuels unnecessary instability. Eswatini must uphold the spirit of unity, peace, and responsible leadership. National interest must always come before personal interests.

MUST WATCH: Many of our leaders in Eswatini are like trees standing in the middle of dams and rivers, swaying in whatever direction the wind blows. Instead of standing firm on principle and defending the country against misinformation, some are easily influenced by Zwemart's fake news and the propaganda published by Swaziland News. Others, rather than confronting what they believe to be falsehoods, have reportedly chosen to appease him instead.

This reflects a deeper problem, too many leaders appear more committed to protecting their personal interests than to defending the country's institutions. Their loyalty often seems tied to the benefits they receive rather than genuine conviction. A nation is strengthened by leaders who stand firm during difficult times, not by those who change direction with every political wind. If Eswatini is to continue progressing, it needs more leaders who are prepared to defend their principles and serve the country with courage, integrity and unwavering commitment.
