Last week I sent out my first little newsletter (love letter 🥰) and I’ve been so blown away by the encouraging and beautiful response from everyone who received it. Thank you to everyone who messaged, emailed and WhatsApped me to give me feedback on my little love letter 💌 I so enjoyed the process of putting it together and it’s so lovely to know that you enjoyed receiving it and reading it (and found it helpful).
It has been wonderful to connect with you all through this little letter so I’ve decided to do something fun to keep those good vibes going 🌷and there will be a prize (to be shipped after lockdown) for one lucky recipient ☺️ here’s how it will work:

SOUTH AFRICAN COVID-19 LOCKDOWN DAY 4: LOCKDOWN LESSONS
I’ve been chatting to a few business owners about this lockdown and even though there is a lot of anxiety around what the future holds for (small) business here in South Africa, there have also been a lot of great suggestions to use this time to asses our strengths and weaknesses and focus on growth (personally and professionally)... When life gives you lemons... 🤷‍♀️🍋
So it got me thinking... Wouldn’t it be wonderful to use this time (if things are quieter on the business front than usual) to explore all those skills you’ve always wanted to learn? If you had access to information from experienced business owners and creatives what are some of the ‘lessons’ you would want to learn?⠀
Or - Are you a business owner, creative or blogger who has valuable wisdom, skills or knowledge to share? Photography and editing (with your phone or camera), connecting with your ideal audience, video editing for social media, styling and creating beautiful flatlays, baking, cookie decorating, floral arrangement, hair and makeup, business tax and bookkeeping, principles of design, using social media to generate sales for your business... the list could go on. If you have experience or knowledge to share please consider creating a short (free) online ‘lesson’ here on the ‘gram. How you do it is up to you, on a grid post, in your Stories (save to your highlights), IGTV, Instagram Live (don’t forget to save to Stories and then highlights before it’s gone). If you do create something please use the hashtag 🙏 so we can all find the content more easily.

I do love a pretty pattern 😍🌷🌸 and this one is a favorite and was part of some branding I did for my exceptionally talented friend of .hutton.photography (I’m so thrilled with how all the various elements came together and can’t wait to show you more from this project).

The Flashes of Light Photography Workshop is a full day workshop that aims to challenge, motivate and inspire creativity in the field of photography. It’s applicable across all skill levels (suitable for absolute beginners who want to learn more about using their DSLR-cameras and editing their images, as well as more intermediate and advanced photographers).

Happening on Saturday, 25 May at the Styling Shed in Stellenbosch. ⠀

It’s a full day of learning and fun and also includes lunch and refreshments. ⠀

Each attendee is being spoilt with the most magical goodie bags 🤩 and we have some exciting flash prizes which will be given out on the day (and a few sneaky surprises for after the workshop!) Oh hi 👋 it's me Tam, I've been pretty quiet lately, but I promise I haven't disappeared - I've just been sitting here, drinking my honey and lemon tea whilst recovering from brutal flu, juggling a sick toddler and wrapping up a bunch of wonderful projects before heading off on maternity leave (more info on that in another post) 😉 but this is just a quick hello, to say I'm still here and to send loads of love and gratitude to my amazing clients who have been so kind and understanding with minor delays these last two weeks 💙✨ thank you! I can't even fathom the strength and courage it takes to live each day after the loss of your partner and best friend. The way Angela faced (and continues to face) not only the challenges of life, but those of parenthood, without Darrell by her side is a true testimony to her incredible strength and power. And the fact that she chooses to embrace joy, fun and playfulness for her son Elijah, even on the hardest days - is an incredible inspiration.

Thank you Angela for sharing your story.
