WOOCOMMERCE 11.1 IS HERE. SHOULD YOU UPDATE IMMEDIATELY?

Short answer: no.

WooCommerce 11.1 includes genuinely useful improvements:

✔ Faster variable-product processing
✔ Better CSV product imports
✔ More reliable checkout-total validation
✔ Individual image galleries for product variations
✔ Faster Store API and REST requests

But it also includes a database update and more than 500 code changes.

That means clicking “Update” on a busy live store without testing first is not sensible website maintenance.

Before updating, your developer should check:

• Your payment gateway
• Checkout and guest orders
• Product variations
• Stock changes
• Coupons and delivery calculations
• Order emails
• Product feeds and CSV imports
• Custom code and plugins
• Scheduled actions
• Mobile product galleries

South African stores using PayFast, PayJustNow, Payflex, MoreTyme, Mobicred or custom delivery systems should specifically test those integrations.

Stores selling tickets, running active campaigns or processing daily orders should stay on their proven version until the update has passed staging tests.

WooCommerce 11.1 is worth installing. It simply deserves a proper upgrade process.

For women over 55 who have decided the rulebook was written by someone with no imagination.

The official social script says:
20s: build. 30s: juggle. 40s: hold it all together. 50s: fade gracefully into beige and sensible shoes.

You read that and thought: absolutely not.

Starting a business at 55+ is not a "late start." It's starting after you've finally stopped doing things you don't want to do. That's efficiency.

What The Sun says about your new venture:

1. You are the brand. And the brand has excellent taste.
You don't need to invent a persona. You have 30 years of knowing what works, what is nonsense, and what people actually pay for. A 25-year-old has a business plan. You have pattern recognition and a bu****it detector. Way more valuable.

2. Visibility is the strategy.
For years the world was very keen to make you invisible. Your business plan is to be brilliantly, unmissably visible. Wear the orange beret. Use your real photo. Tell the real story. Your ideal customers are not looking for another 20-something in athleisure selling mindfulness. They want you.

Especially people with wallets. • Worry: The 3am committee meeting in your head about whether you're too much. You are not too much. If anything, you were too little for too long.
In short: You aren't breaking free to become a . You're breaking free to finally run things the way you wanted to in the first place — with color, warmth, common sense, and no pointless meetings.

Most of the time I end up fixing problems caused by them.

Not the polished testimonials.

Not the carefully written recommendations.

The little comments that appear unexpectedly.

The ones written by people who have worked with us, watched us show up, trusted us with their business, and decided to say something kind without being asked.

This comment from Health appeared this week, and it made me stop for a moment.

Running a business often means moving straight from one project to the next. There is always another website to build, another campaign to launch, another problem to solve.

Veldskoen Rally - a page with 1,500 followers. Built from nothing in March 2026.

This weekend: 40k+ views across two events.

Here's what people don't understand about those numbers.
They're not luck. They're not algorithm gaming. They're not "good content" posted at the right time.

They're what happens when someone actually understands your business.
I knew nothing about motorbikes when we started with Veldskoen. I didn't know how the community communicates. I didn't know what moves them. I didn't know what matters in that world.

So I learned. I researched. I listened. I showed up to the events. I paid attention to how bikers talk to each other, what they care about, what gets their attention.
Then I posted.

And it landed. Not because I'm a genius. Because I wasn't guessing. I was speaking to people in a way that made sense to them.

's Scooter World's owner pulled me aside this weekend and said something I hear differently now: he's never seen a rally in South Africa promoted on social media like this one.
That's not a compliment about my posting schedule.
