As expatriates, we find ourselves searching for pieces of "home" in new places, clinging to the things that ground us—our mothers, our names, our tribes. Our languages become beautiful, complex layers that we may only vaguely understand or speak. And sometimes, we’re judged for that disconnect, even by those who share our roots. It’s like trying to belong somewhere that feels both familiar and foreign all at once.
But here’s the thing: "Home is not a place, it’s a feeling." A severance from the soil doesn’t change the essence of where we come from.
