Shayden Digital and NetCampus have partnered to train 25 000 young people in the Province.

The AI (Artificial Intelligence) Fluency Skilling Microsoft Program aims to expose young people to the 4IR base digital skills. Learning portal will be created to provide learners with access to the following modules:

▪︎ Understanding generative AI
▪︎ The evolution of search technologies
▪︎ AI best practices: What you need to know
▪︎ The impact of AI on accessibility
▪︎ Exploring Microsoft Copilot
▪︎ An overview of Cybersecurity in the AI era.

The registration link (see below) has already been created for aspirant learners to register for this training. We encourage young people to register and participate in this Free online program.
The training will be a combination of:

1. Online Learning
2. Subject Matter Expert Discussions
3. Facilitator based workshops

Registration Criteria

1. 18 to 35 years
2. Matric/Grade 12
3. South African and Residents of Mpumalanga

NB: Learners are onboarded on the program to complete the online learning and assessment.

Training will start on 1 May 2025 and the online platform will be available for 31 days from the date of commencement. The Registration portal will automatically close once a number of registered young people have reached 25 000.

There are three reasons why you need to know about Blockchain:

1. Blockchain technology doesn't have to exist publicly. It can also exist privately - where nodes are simply points in a private network and the Blockchain acts similarly to a distributed ledger. Financial institutions specifically are under tremendous pressure to demonstrate regulatory compliance and many are now moving ahead with Blockchain implementations. Secure solutions like Blockchain can be a crucial building block to reduce compliance costs.

2. Block-chain technology is broader than finance. It can be applied to any multi-step transaction where traceability and visibility is required. Supply chain is a notable use case where Blockchain can be leveraged to manage and sign contracts and audit product provenance. It could also be leveraged for votation platforms, titles and deed management - amongst myriad other uses. As the digital and physical worlds converge, the practical applications of Blockchain will only grow.

3. The exponential and disruptive growth of Blockchain will come from the convergence of public and private Blockchains to an ecosystem where firms, customers and suppliers can collaborate in a secure, auditable and virtual way.

A simple analogy for understanding blockchain technology is a Google Doc. When we create a document and share it with a group of people, the document is distributed instead of copied or transferred. This creates a decentralized distribution chain that gives everyone access to the document at the same time.
