My clever friend/third mom/business partner/confidante started something amazing! With 4 kids, a history in educational toys, and a passion for empowering and uplifting whoever is around her, Anita Rushton started this amazing business, and I’m sure it’s going to thrive and fill many happy a home with intentional play. A small team of sewists (for lack of a better word) in Mozambique, have been trained up and are absolutely chuffed to have jobs and be creative. Anita brainstorms and consults with an occupational therapist (who happens to be my mom), for the games and activities soon to be available on her site.

For her logo, we had to portray “Bobi”, the name her grandchildren call her, who would whip up delicious felt and wooden food in her “Kitchen”. I used muted, natural colours in the logo, with some fun yet earthy colours in the rest of the materials. Have a look at their page, and Instagram profile, and follow along on this inspiring journey. I’ve been quiet around here, but have been working on a couple of things, mostly for friends and family and their passion projects 😍
This one was for Carolynn Frenzel, one of my oldest friends and, honestly, role models. She has been on a wellness journey and is to the rest of us. Her recent integration of essential oils into her wellness regime and sharing that with others prompted the need for a logo.
I drew this little girl to represent one of her daughters and the herbs and flowers where the oils are extracted from. (See if you can spot what the herbs are 🌿). The name is a play on words for...well, you’ll just have to go check out her page and see.

I’m super excited to launch my first solo designed website! It never is a solo project though is it? Without amazing, creative clients there would be no website to design and no product to show off and get into people’s hands. This concept is so great, as I am someone who diligently keeps those little memories, but it’s all ended up in shoe boxes and never looked at or relived. These memory boxes provide a beautiful vehicle to keep, display and relive moments that just shouldn’t be forgotten.

Working on a logo and website for this online shop - what a great idea! A special box to keep all your wedding or baby memories. This is so cool, because I’ve found trinkets from my special days stuffed into shoe boxes or files, and what better way to cherish and honour your memories than like this?

Reminiscing about the time I worked on this packaging for Personal Touch Fabric Softener. It was when I was still working for Tracey King and learning so much each day!! This was months of back and forth and redesigns, and even though it was years ago, I still get a happy shock when I see my meticulous illustrations on bottles in stores.

When Ziona first started her amazing cake business in 2013, she asked me to design her logo. This year, we updated it, and such a fun inclusion of the traditional Basotho Shweshwe pattern in her "Candi Girl's" dress and headband, as well as Ziona’s signature sneakers, which is what you'll usually find her in, baking away!⁠
I designed her some new stationery, and a stamp to "sign" her name in the icing.⁠
