Last year I was super lucky to witness the rare mating dance between these two Knysna Dwarf Chameleons! The Knysna Dwarf Chameleon - Bradypodion Damaranum - is endangered and is endemic to the Garden Route, South Africa 🌍 they are one of the larger species of dwarf chameleon in the Bradypodion “slow footed” genus and their tongues are twice the length of their body!
These creatures are not pets and are best left alone in the wild - only pick them up to move them away from a dangerous situation 🦎
