Sales psychology or bullsh*tting? Here’s the difference.

Most people think persuasion is about talking louder, pushing harder, or dressing manipulation up as “strategy.” That’s bullsh*tting. It burns trust, kills deals, and makes you look desperate.

Sales psychology is the opposite.
It’s understanding how humans actually make decisions.
It’s aligning what you sell with what people already want.
It’s removing friction, not creating illusions.
It’s clarity, not cleverness.

Bullsh*tting tries to trick the mind.
Sales psychology respects it.

If you need deception to sell, you don’t understand the buyer.

The symphony of business.

Although we communicate with stories and emotions, marketing in practice is a very calculated art. The best marketing strategists contain a mix between math and emotions. The how, the what and the when meeting the why.

Running a proper campaign takes not only time and planning, it also includes the creative, and ex*****on.

Good marketing operatives can do it all. Great marketing strategists are very focussed. They can conceptualise the plan, the people, the colours, the story and the ex*****on all in one go - and somehow make it happen in an instant.

Like a symphony, marketing is bringing together a business and all its functions to achieve a goal made in a boardroom and signed off in a financial office.

Marketing can look like therapy, but it's a mix of math and guts.

We often focus so much on the neighbour that we forget the yourself part.
You can’t pour from an empty cup — not in business, not in life.

The reason this is profound is because finding your IDENTITY opens you up to love others MORE. Being unwavering in yourself, purpose, identity and worth allows you to look past offence. Past hurt, anger, disappointment. If you love yourself enough to say NO, you can love others that put up boundaries too.

The raw truth.

I love work. Since I was 16 I have been working. Helping other people build. Learning is my second great love. Not from books, but from people. It really is interesting when you start to make the subject the person. You learn SO MUCH MORE! Even the negatives become a subject. Why not to…

I have been fascinated with other people’s stories my whole life. Pattern recognition came next. When people opened up and shared the truth of their stories, my problem solver mentality kicked into overdrive. ~What can I learn, how can they overcome, how can I assist?

But not everyone likes having their problems solved. Sometimes the problem lies much, much deeper.

I love helping people. People don’t always like being helped. And those that need it most, normally can’t pay.

It is only once I embraced the full truth of my purpose that I started seeing progress. Although my heart is still to help people, HOW to help people has changed dramatically in my life. Hence my slogan - Profit WITH Purpose. You can’t have one without the other.

I see this in branding businesses all the time. The brand reveals itself through the purpose, either of the business or the people, but it’s the purpose that creates the brand. As soon as you step away from the purpose, the brand doesn’t make sense, not even the colours or the culture or the logo makes sense. And the customers don’t readily adopt the brand either. So it all tends to fall apart.

It was time for a rebrand. A personal rebrand. It takes much more out of you to figure out what your personal brand should look like. It makes you go… deep. Into the problems I was solving for other people, but now facing those problems in myself. WHO am I?

What you are showing the world of you should directly be linked to the purpose and the profits will follow. It is not an easy process. Most people avoid it. But if you feel stuck, if you feel there is more to life, if you have always had a heart to start something, but never started (writing that book, starting that business, sorting out the garage) then I know exactly where you are.

This is NOT a chat GPT prompt. It is real. Because there is a premium on REAL. It is getting much more expensive to find REAL. REAL = PURPOSE. Don’t look in another direction. Look inward. And START.
