You may not have walked away with the Miss Teen World SA title tonight, and that’s okay. You should be incredibly proud of yourself, not only for the work you’ve been putting in beyond the stage, but also for how beautifully you showed up and performed tonight.

This chapter may have come to an end, but your journey certainly hasn’t. In fact, the next chapter has already begun.

Pabala Ya Mosotho as you step into this World South Africa Pageants weekend, I pray that you carry with you a deep reminder of who you are. May you be able to quiet every outside opinion, every doubt and every word that was never meant to define you.
You are worthy.
You are enough.
You are deserving of beautiful things.
Never feel the need to make yourself smaller to fit into anyone else’s expectations. Your light is yours, let it shine. Walk into every room knowing that you belong there, and let the beautiful girl that you are speak for herself.

OmphileMachwisa used her talent to speak up against body shaming, a reality that so many African children face every single day.
Too often, children are told they’re “too skinny,” “too dark,” “too big,” or “not pretty enough.” Those words don’t build confidence; they break it.
