Moz Mission: Faith to endure
As I prepare for our upcoming trip to Mozambique, and all that still needs to be done for the children in need from the communities closest to us in South Africa, I found concern beginning to rise in me about provision for everything that still needs to happen.
Then I deliberately chose to turn my thoughts toward what I already have and to replace concern with thankfulness.
As I did this, precious Holy Spirit began bringing the challenging situations of other people into my thoughts. My brother, who has been on a very difficult two-year journey of recovery from cancer. My daughter, who is presently facing the challenges of cancer treatment. My niece, facing loneliness after the death of her husband. Other family, facing financial challenges. Suddenly, I didn't know what to pray, or for whom, or even what to ask.
Compassion simply welled up in my heart for each one of them.

💛 Perhaps you are going through a challenging time or situation yourself. Quiet your heart and ask Holy Spirit to show you what Jesus is seeing and what is in His heart.

I did just that and Holy Spirit reminded me of Psalm 139, where David speaks of a God who knows our thoughts and even knows our words before we speak them.
I sensed that He wanted to establish something in our own heart's first: a renewed and ultimate trust and faith in my heart for Father God.
Whatever our concerns may be — God sees. God knows.

I then thought: What and how do I pray now? Immediately precious Holy Spirit reminded me of Peter and the tremendous challenges he would face after the death of Jesus. Jesus simply said: “I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail.”

And in that simplicity, I thought about each person and situation and began to pray for everyone individually: “Lord, may their faith not fail.”

It is written that Jesus is still interceding for us and I am agreeing with Jesus, praying for you today that your faith will not fail while you are walking through a storm. May praise and gratitude fill your thoughts to replace doubt, unbelief, concern and anxiety in your heart.

We may not see the answer yet.
But we know and trust the One who does.

❤️ Moz Mission – Two Ways to Make a Difference ❤️
During our involvement with the Xai-Xai orphanage in Mozambique, we have become increasingly aware of the many needs of the children living there. But one particular need has been growing strongly in our hearts: the special needs children who are unable to attend school.
I am taking hands with Carol from Projects for Life in Mozambique, who recently approached me about the possibility of providing care, stimulation and meaningful activities for these precious children.
The volunteers who come alongside the other children during the week, helping with schoolwork and everyday tasks, have opened our eyes to the possibility of doing something similar for the children with special needs — but they need volunteers with a special heart, patience and a willingness to learn.
Our vision is to identify the right people, provide them with appropriate guidance and training according to the children's needs, and contribute towards their transport costs and a small monthly allowance. In this way, we hope to build something sustainable rather than simply depending on occasional help.
🙏 Justus and I have personally committed to sponsoring 5,000 MT per month — approximately R1,500 / US$100 — towards this project.
But we need more commitments.

Moz Mission – I AM, IMMANUEL
I have become so fascinated by learning more about the Names of God so, when I began thinking about this year's Christmas bags for the children of Moz Mission, my thoughts went far back when we first started this special project through SA Cares for Life. The idea was simple, but powerful: to pack a special box for every child registered in our projects and, through that gift, to share a personal message of love, hope and value with each one. Through the years, we have packed thousands of boxes.
And now... it is that time of the year again to whisper to a vulnerable child: “I see you. I care. You are loved.”

For our children in Mozambique, a sling backpack is more practical than a normal cart box
as a backpack that can become a school bag, a sports bag, or be used to gathering roots for the family's meal that evening. The children love the backpacks and it is used throughout the year, so the words printed on them are just as important as what we place inside them.

This year, because of where I find myself in my own spiritual journey, I felt led to use the answer God gave Moses in Exodus 3 when he asked what must he tell the people who send him and God said: “tell them I AM What I Am is Who send you.”

The colour for this year’s bags will be orange with these words: I AM - Immanuel. I AM will be the message to share when giving out the bags introducing the children to the many beautiful things God is through His Names. He is the God who loves, cares, protects, heals., provides, sees and who is always present.

But I also want them to begin discovering who they are. How God sees them. That they are loved. That they are chosen. That they have purpose. And that they have a future.

We already started to purchase items in bulk according to the ages and needs of the children and would appreciate any donation of stationaries, toiletries or sweet treats from you as well. Moz Mission - Sparkle with Dignity
Following up on my previous post, I feel compelled to share something that has been stirring in my heart: The Faithfulness of God as El Shaddai – God who is more than enough.

As I have been trusting Him to provide for the work we are doing in Mozambique, two unexpected and exciting opportunities opened during my recent visit to the USA.

I don’t often ask so directly for support, but when God opens a door, I want to walk through it – and I want you to know about it too, because you are part of what God is doing and together we can sow seeds into Mozambique and trust God for a harvest that reach far beyond what we can see.
