Good afternoon Ward 63 family…
Today we were able too remove the remaining items that’s intended purpose was for victims of the floods that were displaced and affected within ward 63.
Unfortunately the misconception and perception that being portrayed is of a different nature and unfounded.
When need moves too greed it’s time to shift focus and concentrate on those victims cut off from cellphones and their own vehicles that they own who are looking for free handouts and abuse the kindness and generosity of the public.
If you are working and can afford to get drunk and buy Alchol surely you can afford too leave the community hall and seek to rebuild your life rather than stay at the community hall because now you can walk to work and not pay Petrol, rent and for food and electricity and water.
The perceptions portrayed by some individuals, rather well articulated or scripted and sent what too say on voice notes etc too discredit good people serves what end ?
Trying too incite violence serves what end, telling people about the follow up process that Government is going to do “how is this making a threat” .
Allegations made that we trying too inflate the number of victims reported too disaster management serves what end or gain ?
In fact my own family and those of the volunteers were threatened and we did not feel safe, very little if any assistance came from various departments when we were telling them daily of the challenges we face and the sensitive nature of what was transpiring, but this fell on deaf ears and we would think one issues was resolved only to find the same issue being a constant and continuous barrage of insults and a constant struggle daily too maintain order !
People were quick too tell us what to do, but never quick to put it in black and white and take ownership of their instructions and also never quick too send their own volunteers too assist. (To me it looks like a deliberate attempt too undermine good governance and accountability) in a smear campaign too manipulate the public into believing there are more people being housed than what there were.
Although the lists we had were removed and no where to be found on numerous occasions, we were wise enough to take photos of every document that was completed by the people within the hall for accountability purposes, this is how any person takes responsibility when the good nature and kindness of the public is entrusted to you !
I ask the question ? Why were documents continuously removed from the reception area (is that too hide something or too delay the process of accurate reporting)
Why were allegations made that were unfounded ! When we made people sign for things taken into the hall for the people housed within the hall.
Opinions are not facts and facts are based on physical evidence. Not perceptions or here say …
Transparency is key and accountability is of utmost importance irrespective of who what where and why etc…
