Today was vintage day at Breede Design, as we celebrated a big birthday in the office with a bit of fun.
Congratulations to Paul Jones!
Paul has been with us for 4 years.

The Breede Design team was utterly spoiled at Bon Cap, Guestfarm and Wedding Venue recently when we were invited for a visit. Wow, they are really good in the kitchen!!

We were treated to an amazing feast:
• A vegan starter of Madras curry infused butternut, sweetpotato, broccoli & cauliflower with a side crispy papadums.
• Chicken Roulade & deep fried mash potato balls for mains with a side trio of mustard, salsa & onion marmalade.
• For dessert we had deconstructed Malva pudding and creame anglaise topped with fireburned meringue with a side of cinnamon-whiskey custard & mint meringue and dried kiwi fruit.
Thank you to Michelle and her team for the awesome dishes.

The Pannekoek Challenge is in support the elderly residents of the ACVV Robertson's Huis Le Roux who are in need of electric hospital beds.

The Robertson Wine Valley team are cooking up a storm & are still taking orders, and last we heard they were close to 3000 orders.

The team at Breede Design was treated to a rather special outing at THE PINOTAGE CELLAR - Rooiberg Wines on Monday.
We were greeted by Export & PR Manager Marianne Lochner, who duly handed us over to the Award winning Senior Winemaker André Scriven for a private tour of the cellar.

Not only did he spend 40 minutes with us during harvest season, undoubtedly the busiest time of the year at the cellar, but he answered all of our questions with the composure befitting of a well seasoned winemaker.
We indulged in a tasting of Must at two different stages (the grape juice & yeast that is fermenting to create the base wine) - what a privilege!

Before we made our way up the infamous BIGGEST RED CHAIR in Africa for a 'CHAIRIOUSLY EPIC' photo, we were escorted to BODEGA DE VINHO where Marianne waited for us to join her for some freshly baked Mosbolletjie Brood & Moskonfyt, made especially for us by Elda Auret. This style of bread is famous throughout the Cape as bread baked with the Must juice, which makes the bread rise, and adds a special sweetness to it.

Thank you especially to Andre, Marianne and Elda from Rooiberg Winery for making this an experience that we will never forget.
