𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀:
The website captures a lead. The lead details get emailed to someone. That someone copies it into a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is not connected to the CRM. The CRM is not connected to the accounting system. The accounting system is not connected to anything.

Every handoff between those systems is a manual step. Every manual step is a place where information gets delayed, duplicated, or dropped.

Business owners usually describe this as "our systems are a bit messy" or "we need to get more organised." But what they are actually describing is a revenue problem.

Leads that are not followed up within a few hours convert at a fraction of the rate of leads followed up immediately. Invoices that sit in a queue because someone forgot to move data from one system to another delay cash flow. Reports that require someone to manually pull data from three platforms get done less frequently — which means decisions get made on stale information.

None of this is caused by bad people or bad intentions. It is caused by systems that were set up independently, at different times, without any thought given to how data should flow between them.
The fix is not always a big technology project. Sometimes it is a few well-placed automations that connect what you already have. Sometimes it is a clearer decision about which system owns which data.

But it starts with recognising that the problem is not "we need to be more organised." The problem is that your systems are not connected — and that has a real cost.
