Globally, the month of September has been earmarked as a time to showcase the importance of Greening and Sustainability initiatives. In a celebration for world environmental awareness, Garnier and Primedia Instore joins together on the 30th of September 2013 to remind the community to care for their surrounding environment. This will be done by tying Green ribbons around the trees of the parking area of the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens.
The gesture of tying a ribbon around a tree stems from the war when families used to tie a yellow ribbon around a tree as a sign of HOPE. In the same thought, we want to remind people that trees and the environment are important aspects of our lives and that there is HOPE when you TAKE CARE.
Inspired by nature, Garnier the original beauty brand dedicated to taking care has launched its South African Take Care programme. The programme aims to support the development of individuals’ self-esteem, nurture a culture of caring for others and demonstrate a genuine respect for the environment.
