In 2004 I left my home country, Namibia, to pursue my dream. My interest in creative expressions led to studies in Creative Arts (Fashion & Design) at Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design in Stellenbosch from which I graduated in 2007. The following year I was trained as a Personal Image/Style Consultant for Women at 1st Solutions-Executive Image and Personal Development Consultants and at
a later stage continued training in Image/Style Consulting for men as well as for Corporate and Executive companies
I started off on a freelance basis where I consulted in my private capacity. In between I assisted 1st Solutions in Image consulting for private clients and companies like Investec. Concerning styling I had the privilege of assisting a brilliant Cape Town Stylist, Kim Gray on fashion and décor photo shoots for magazines such as Fairlady and Oprah Winfrey Magazine. In 2009 I started my own business, Jonine Nel Consulting offering Fashion / Image Consulting to Men, Women and Companies, Bridal styling; Styling for photo shoots and fashion shows. Had an amazing opportunity to be the stylist for an advertising campaign of South Africa’s leading Leather-craft Company, Cape Cobra. Focusing on the 2010 Soccer World Cup (Sky Emirates inflight and hotel magazines). In-between I made use of every opportunity doing hair and make up, whether it was for friends, models, brides, mother of the brides, bridesmaids, grannies – a passion that keeps on growing. Jonine Nel Consulting developed into The Style Concept as it is today – All glory to God! I absolutely love working with people and to be able to make a contribution to their lives.
