SEEKING EKURHULENI BASED MURAL PAINTERS

The City of Ekurhuleni is a city of creation and participation, a city where the involvement of the population and cultural life are of outmost importance. The City’s Visual Arts and Galleries Section, under the Sport Recreation Arts and Culture Department, seeks Ekurhuleni-based mural painters for the Germiston Stadium Art Mural Project.

This project aims to enhance the visual aesthetics of the stadium, support local artists and shape the neighborhood’s visual experience.

Mural Location: Germiston Stadium, Delville N Road, Delville, Germiston

Experience: Seeking experienced artists, able to paint murals.

Eligibility:
- Applicants must be 18 years or older to apply
- ONLY artists born and living in Ekurhuleni can submit their applications for selection
- Proof of residency documentation may be requested

How to Apply:
- Send cover sheet including full name and contact details – phone and email
- Provide artist’s biography with address and date of birth
- Include 2-3 previous examples of your outdoor mural work, date completed and location of mural
- References should be available upon request
- Provide artist profile photo

The submission deadline for artists to apply is Thursday, 6 May 2021, at 16h00.

Artist Selection:
Artists will be chosen by the City of Ekurhuleni’s Sport Recreation Arts and Culture Department’s Visual Arts and Galleries Section representatives. Applicants will be notified of final selections on 10 May 2021.
