PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Cape Town, South Africa – 7 May 2026

After more than a decade of delivering exceptional destination and event experiences, Creative Studios Events, established in 2014, is proud to announce its official rebrand to DUE SOUTH Destination Management.

This name change marks an exciting new chapter in the company’s evolution and reflects a sharper focus on destination management services, incentive travel, corporate events, group logistics, and bespoke travel experiences across Southern Africa.

Since its founding, Creative Studios Events has built a strong reputation for creativity, reliability, and operational excellence in the tourism and events sector. While the company name is changing, the core values, ownership, management, and commitment to service excellence remain unchanged.

“After 12 years' operating as Creative Studios Events, we felt it was the right time for our brand identity to better reflect who we are today and where we are headed,” said Nelson Albarran, Owner & Managing Director.

“DUE SOUTH Destination Management speaks directly to our expertise, our geography, and our passion for curating unforgettable experiences in Southern Africa.”

As part of this next phase of growth, DUE SOUTH Destination Management is also pleased to announce its expansion into international markets and is now exclusively represented in the UK market by David Marks at MM and Company, strengthening the company’s presence in a key global source market and providing greater accessibility for UK-based clients, agents, and strategic partners.

David said “as we at MM and Company enter our 30th year of successfully representing world-class DMCs to welcome DUE South DMC into our portfolio of DMCs strengthens our offering of experienced DMCs to our conference and incentive client base. MM and Company has over 20 years’ experience of representing DMCs in Southern Africa having visited the destination numerous times.

Clients, suppliers, and partners can expect business continuity throughout the transition. All current contracts, contact details, banking arrangements, and service commitments remain unaffected unless otherwise communicated.

The rebrand will be rolled out across all company platforms, including email addresses, website, social media channels, proposals, and branded materials over the coming weeks.

No... you can't multitask. Don't check your e-mails, don't play on Facebook or check your Instagram Feed. Even if you are not the main presenter, if your camera is on the rest of the group will see your distraction (also remember the reflection in your glasses right)? Even if you think you're an expert multitasker, anything you do that isn't related to the meeting itself will prevent you from fully participating and absorbing the content.

This can take some practice to get right and especially if you're reading notes and sharing your screen. When someone else is talking to you especially, try not to look away from the camera. Looking straight into the camera will allow the other person to feel like you are listening to them and not distracted, creating a stronger connection.
Also, be careful if you are wearing glasses of what's on your screen. Reflections in your glasses can show a lot of detail, it might not be the best time to be logging into your bank account.

If you're in a meeting, turn off your phone, desktop WhatsApp, e-mails, etc. This is especially vital if you are screen sharing. You might not want all of your audience to see that sexy Selphie your partner just sent you. Turning off distractions will ensure your meeting runs smoothly without embarrassing moments during your budget speech.

Again, you would think this would be obvious but seems missed in translation. Dressing the part for a meeting, even if virtual, is almost the most important rule of all. Your audience may forgive a dog bark in the background or a slightly slow connection, but if you look like you just got out of bed, that's inexcusable. Dress as professionally as you can given your industry expectations/norms. If in doubt, rather be the best dressed at the meeting than not.

You may be tempted to maximize your conference app to full-screen mode so everyone else's image looks big on your screen. Instead, make the conference app as small as possible and position it close to your computer's camera at the top. This way, when you look at the video image of the person you're talking to, your eyes will not seem pointed toward a completely different direction. Try it. You'll see what we mean.
