Hey, let's break down Bill 7 in simple terms, especially for our grade 3 friends who haven't understood it
Part of it says, let's say we vote for Alexander as MP for Matero constituency, then he later decides to resign. The UPND party can appoint anyone who might not even be a resident of Matero constituency to take over as an MP. For example, they would just put Magnate the gambler to be the new MP of Matero," but atleast he can double the CDF na two odds. Or they would just put honorable Matomola that talkative guy even though he stays in Misisi compound. Or they will just say, " M ntonga since you did your school in America, go and represent the people of Matero constituency."na Slapdee can make sense pa last tizaona bene bubu of Fashion Police Zambia representing us ndaba we will even stop going to devil street ungazipeze pa page yabo Or they will just choose someone related to the party's president, let's say the daughter, to come and represent you. Is that what you want? It will no longer be you to vote for who to represent you, but the president of the party. Ni beans iyo! Kuzankala che ati Prophet Seer1 the don of power has been appointed by UPND government to be the MP of Nkana constituency in kitwe... Binwell Mpundu For President 2026 we still need you as an MP
Second, about delimitation, this is where they want to cut into two those big constituencies geographically and not according to population. For example, Mkushi constituency is big geographically, but half the constituency is owned by let's say 20 farmers who have big farms, and the other half is where a town is and more than 50 thousand people stay there. So, if they decide to delimitate this constituency, it means those 20 farmers will be getting the same K26 million CDF just like those 50 thousand people are also getting. Now, is that fair?
Let's say in Southern province, where a lot of constituencies are occupied by big farms of those farmers that keep cattle, so if they delimitate such a constituency, it means that the K26 million CDF received by millions of people of Mandevu constituency will be the same K26 million received by two farmers with their cattle. Now, is that fair?
Say no to Bill 7! Don't just support blindly.
