PA CAMPUS INSIGHT | I DID IT BECAUSE I WAS HUNGRY

By Zethu TV | PA Campus Reporter

She is 21.
A student.
A daughter.

For the past year, she says she made a choice no young woman should ever have to make: exchanging her body for money just so she could eat and not burden her parents back home.Through tears, she told Idah TV.Most of what I’ve done has left me traumatized. My mind has never been at peace after it.My parents have no idea. They are struggling too. I don’t want to trouble them for groceries anymore.I can’t continue like this. Please help me.

She’s not asking for handouts.
She’s asking for a way out.
"If someone can help me start a small business even salaula for girls that I can sell at school .I will be grateful. I want to sustain myself without selling my body to buy food."

She doesn’t want pity. She wants a chance.

THIS IS A CALL TO HELP
If you can support her with capital for a small business, please reach out directly: +260975778379

At Zethu TV PA Campus, we believe no student should have to choose between their dignity and their next meal. If you’re a student going through this, you are not alone. Talk to someone. Reach out to student welfare, counseling, or trusted people around you.

Students march to State House to thank President HH

Making this day of unity, gratitude, and young voices today as students from different campuses and universities across Zambia march to State House to express appreciation to President Hakainde Hichilema, HH.

Dressed in white and printed red t-shirsts, chitenge, students from UNZA,Unichos, Chalimbana, Evelyn Hone, and other institutions walked together under one message: Thank you for prioritizing education and youth opportunities.

Carrying placards that read “Education is Freedom”, “Thank You President HH”and “Zambia’s Future is Bright”, the students sang, chanted, and shared testimonies of how policy changes have directly impacted their lives.

Campus Voices
“We are here not because we were forced, but because we are grateful,”says one student representative. “Many of us wouldn’t be in school right now if it wasn’t for the reforms. This is us saying thank you.

Another student added: “As young people, we want to be part of building this country. This march is our way of showing that students are watching, and we appreciate leadership that works with us.”

Zethu TV Take - Campus Vibe
This wasn’t politics. This was students choosing to show up.
Whether you agree or disagree, the fact that young people from different universities can come together, peacefully, to be heard is Campus Vibe in action.

It shows that students are not just focused on exams and graduations. We’re also paying attention to governance, policy, and the future we’re inheriting.

Zethu TV will continue to be the platform where your campus voice is heard from lecture rooms to State House.
