You too can have UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) at your home or office regardless of load shedding by ZESCO.
1. For only K4,200, you can have UPS to power your entertainment unit (TV, decorder, DVD player and sound system) plus lighting in the home. This system can work during the hours of load shedding (Apprx 4-5 hours). This system comprise of the following:
(a) 1200 VA Mecer Inverter
(b) *1 105 Ah Deep Cycle Solar Battery
No Installation required, you simply plug it in the socket. (If you need automatic kick in, a small installation cost can be agreed).
2. For only K6,800, you can have the UPS to power your entertainment system, lighting plus a medium sized fridge or freezer during load shedding hours. This system comprise of:
(a) 2400VA Mecer Inverter
(b) *2 105 Ah Deep Cycle Batteries
May have the following additional optional costs
Installation K1,500 (Installation material and labour cost; it validates our warranty)
Battery Cabinet K500 (makes the work look neat and proper storage of batteries).
3. For only K17,000 (Installation inclusive) you can have the UPS to power most of your home appliances without being too cautious with your load.This system comprise the following:
(a) 3KVA Proline Inverter
(b) *2 200 Ah Deep Cycle Solar batteries.
We also sell and install solar powered borehole pumps.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
(a) The run time in options 1 and 2 (4-5 hours) can be increased to 8-10 hours if the batteries are upgraded from 105 Ah to 200 Ah.
(b) Appliances that require heating e.g. cooker, microwave, pressing Iron, Geyser etc, should not be connected to the systems explained above, they damage batteries. However, DC appliances can be used on these systems without damage.
(c) The life span of any deep cycle battery depends on the batteries have been taken care of. For instance, batteries should not be allowed to discharge completely and the load should not exceed 60% of the capacity of the system.
