‎*Madison Life Launches Baby Expo 2026 to Promote Child Financial Planning*
‎
‎By Rabecca Lungu Daka
‎
‎Madison Life Insurance Company Zambia Limited has launched the Madison Baby Expo 2026 aimed at encouraging parents and guardians to plan financially for their children's future.
‎
‎The expo, scheduled for 31st October 2026, is expected to provide families with information on financial preparedness and products designed to support children as they grow.
‎
‎Speaking at the launch, Madison Life executive director Agness Chakonta said the expo is anchored on three pillars of family, protection and the future, in line with the company's slogan of protecting Zambians all the way.
‎
‎She noted that Madison Life has served Zambian families for 34 years since 1992, offering individual, family, group and credit protection policies, as well as retirement and pension plans.
‎
‎Chakonta announced that six-year-old Bukata has been unveiled as the Madison Life Brand Ambassador and will work with the company until she turns 18, serving as a reminder to parents to secure their children's future early.
‎
‎She said the initiative will also mark the relaunch of the Madison Baby Present Policy, which is designed for children under 10 years and matures when the child turns 18.
‎
‎And Madison life Lusaka Regional Manager Beene Longwe says the Madison Enhanced Baby Present Policy, is designed to grow with a child.
‎
‎Longwe explained that the policy is available to children aged between zero and 10 years, while parents or guardians aged between 18 and 60 are eligible to take it up.
‎
‎She said the policy guarantees a lump sum payment when the child reaches 18 years of age, which can help support tertiary education and other future needs.
‎
‎She further noted that in the event of the death of a parent or guardian, future premiums are waived while the child remains eligible to receive full benefits upon maturity.
