As we conclude our Did You Know? -What Worries the World series, one insight is clear, while countries may differ, many of the concerns people carry are remarkably similar.
According to the latest Ipsos survey, the world’s leading concerns are:

📌 Inflation – 32%
📌 Crime & violence – 31%
📌 Unemployment – 29%
📌 Poverty & social inequality – 29%
📌 Financial & political corruption – 27%

Based on responses from 23,523 adults aged 16–74 across 30 countries, surveyed between April and May 2026, these findings offer a snapshot of the issues shaping public sentiment around the world.

🌍 What Worries the World?

According to the Ipsos What Worries the World survey, the issues people care about most continue to vary across countries, reflecting different national priorities and challenges.

🇺🇸 United States
37% of people are concerned about financial and political corruption—the highest level recorded in the past 10 years.

🇨🇦 Canada
52% cite inflation as a key concern, representing a 5pp increase from last month.

🇭🇺 Hungary
62% believe the country is on the right track,the highest level recorded in over a decade.

🇮🇱 Israel
58% are concerned about crime and violence, marking a sharp 25pp increase from the last month.

🇵🇱 Poland
56% identify healthcare as a major concern, up 10pp in over a month.

🇧🇷 Brazil
29% now identify taxes as one of the country’s biggest concerns.

These insights from the What Worries the World survey provide a snapshot of the issues shaping public opinion across different nations.
