*FINALLY HON MATAMBO CONCEDES TO LUFWANYAMA RESIDENTS DEMANDS TO CONTEST FOR PARLIAMENTARY SEAT IN LUFWANYAMA*

A battle of which Constituency will be represented by Hon Elisha Matambo in 2026-2031 parliamentary term has finally been won by the people of Lufwanyama.

UPND Copperbelt Province Chairman Hon Elisha Matambo is a leader who has really worked hard both as Provincial Minister and as Provincial party Chairman for the Copperbelt. Hon Matambo has shown capacity to translate both UPND and government vision into reality on the Copperbelt and as a result, every Constituency wanted to be particularly represented by him as MP in the next parliamentary term.

Today in Lufwanyama District at a defection rally where over 2000 members from opposition parties joined the might UPND, Hon Matambo announced that he will contest in Lufwanyama in the coming general elections as MP.

Lufwanyama Constituency is one of the Constituencies to be divided into TWO Constituencies with proposed Constituencies being Lufwanyama West and Lufwanyama East.

"We are happy that our son has accepted to represent us as MP after various calls were turned down" Lufwanyama residents said.

Accepting the requests to Contest in Lufwanyama, Hon Matambo said he is happy to represent the people of Lufwanyama because thus where he comes from and will gladly represent Lufwanyama as MP for Lufwanyama East once it is finally announced by ECZ.

In Western Province they say 'kokulila mukombwe kikona kwa hae' (Villages are where the world's heart beats the loudest) and true to Hon Matambo's heart which has always been for his home land (Lufwanyama East). We wish Hon Matambo all the best as he launches his road to Manda Hill and Congratulations to Lufwanyama for winning the heart of the hard working Man of action.
