Top-Of-Mind Awareness

Well TOMA refers to a product, service or (usually) a brand that comes first in a customers mind when they think of a particular industry.

It's the first brand that comes into mind, when an individual is asked an unprompted question about a category.

It's just like how people in Zimbabwe think of Cocacola, Pepsi (PepsiCo) etc when they are asked to name beverage companies they know and barely does anyone ever remember to mention Lyons (Cascade).

Or how people prefer to buy cellphone lines/simcards from Econet and/or maybe Netone now but barely does anyone want to buy one from Telecel.

We could define top of mind awareness as the most remembered brand names at any given point in time. It is referred to as a special form of brand awareness.

So what is the trick behind creating a robust brand image?
You need to build top of mind awareness, so that whenever people think of products or services related to your business, its you who comes into their mind first and no doubt, they are coming to buy from you because of the following reasons;

1. They now trust you
2. Which clearly means that they understand your brand, what it offers, how it operates and how it treats people.

3. And, they find your brand relevant in their lives because somehow they can relate to your story or they want to achieve whatever it is that they are missing if they dont engage your brand ie Cocacola portrays the image, you will be happy and refreshed after drinking Coke no matter your situation and people love that.

4. Lastly, because you have left them no choice but to love you because you have keep showing up everywhere dude!! (marketing rule of 7😉)

SLIDE_One thing most web designers, developers and/or business people forget to do is to create website's that actually solves people's problems.

Yes the design is beautiful and the code is perfect, and then 🤔 ❓

When you design and develop a Conversion-Focused website, it means that you have created a website that solves people's problems.

When you solve a customer's problem, a client is satisfied hence you earn their trust, respect and most importantly their LOYALTY, just to mention a few.

How do you solve customer's problems via a website;

You know what products and/or services you offer, so clearly outline them on your website.

You know what value your products and/or services bring to people, so tell them the benefits of your products and service.

You definitely want people to buy from you, put a clear Call To Action then.

Why say you sell H2O when yet it's popularly known as Water.
Always keep it simple, and straight forward. Don't make it hard for people to buy from you because they will not if you do that.

Keep It Simple Stupid!

Alright, so you always want to make sure that your customers have the best experience.

If you want to gain a competitive advantage or improve your financial position, the trick is to make sure that your customers have the best experience with your company, products or services that you offer.

But how do you do that? You need to have a brand strategy that in the simplest form OVER-COMMUNICATES to potential leads the cost of not doing business with you.

The logo, slogan, colors etc comes in later but what's important first is that customers get exactly what it is they will benefit after acquiring your products or services.

No jargon when doing that or too much chit chat beating about the bush not highlighting exactly the value your business offers.

As we celebrate the life of our African heroe, Nelson Mandela, bringing in the picture as well what’s currently happening in his country of origin South Africa we just wanted to remind the world what Nelson Mandela always spoke about concerning peace.

“Peace is not just the absence of conflict; peace is the creation of an environment where all can flourish, regardless of race, colour, creed, religion, gender, class, caste, or any other social markers of difference. Religion, ethnicity, language, social and cultural practices are elements which enrich human civilization, adding to the wealth of our diversity. Why should they be allowed to become a cause of division and violence? We demean our common humanity by allowing that to happen.”

Let’s continue praying for South Africa so that peace may be upon their land🙏

SLIDE_If you ever want people to click on that BUY NOW button, you can't just get out of bed and start creating an Ad or launch a website without a clear plan of how you are going to sell your product or service.

You'll waste money, paying for the hosting of a website that nobody ever buys from. Or pay to run Ads but still getting no Return-On-Investment. That just sucks!!!

Develop a Digital Marketing Strategy today so that you can compel your audience to buy from you OFFLINE & ONLINE.

You need a plan, you plan before you execute. If you fail to plan, we all know what you are planning to do :-) .... you are planning to fail.
