Based on recent teasers and leaks surrounding Samsung’s 2026 flagship lineup, the company appears to be centering the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s marketing around a bold theme: “next level privacy.” At the heart of this push is a built-in Privacy Display feature designed to prevent shoulder surfing and block unauthorized viewing from off-angle perspectives.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to use Samsung Display’s Flex Magic Pixel technology, which allows the OLED panel to physically limit viewing angles. When viewed from the side, the screen can appear darkened or blurred, keeping on-screen content visible only to the user directly in front of it.
Unlike traditional privacy screen protectors, Samsung’s approach reportedly supports localized privacy controls. This means users can apply privacy protection to specific areas of the display such as sensitive notifications or banking apps while leaving the rest of the screen fully visible.
The feature is also said to be AI-powered, automatically activating in crowded environments or when opening sensitive apps like digital wallets, messaging platforms, or banking tools. Because the solution is built directly into the display hardware, it removes the need for third-party privacy screen protectors, which often reduce brightness and image clarity.
Samsung is expected to officially unveil the device around February 25, 2026, during its Unpacked event.
With this “next level privacy” campaign, Samsung appears to be positioning privacy not as a software add-on, but as a core, hardware-level feature of its next Ultra flagship.
