Types of Brand Awareness
Brand awareness comprises two primary components:
Brand Recall : Also known as unaided recall, this refers to a consumer's ability to retrieve a brand from memory when prompted by a product category. For instance, when thinking of smartphones, a consumer might immediately recall "Apple" or "Samsung."
Brand Recognition : Known as aided recall, this involves consumers recognizing a brand upon seeing or hearing it. They may not recall it independently but can identify it when presented with visual or auditory cues, such as logos or jingles.
