Vice President General (Rtd) Dr. Constantino Chiwenga has arrived in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, to attend the Thirdp Dushanbe Water Action Decade Conference, taking place from June 10th to 13th. Co-hosted by the Tajikistan Government and the United Nations, this global gathering convenes leaders, water experts, and stakeholders to address sustainable water management and climate change. Leading the Zimbabwean delegation, Vice President Chiwenga emphasized the crucial importance of water management, stressing international cooperation and climate resilience. Upon arrival at Dushanbe International Airport, he was welcomed by Tajikistan's Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Usmonali Usmonzoda. Zimbabwe and Tajikistan have maintained strong diplomatic ties, focusing on economic diplomacy and shared development interests. As water is a constitutional right and a priority in Zimbabwe's development agenda, aligning with Vision 2030, the country's participation in this conference aims to enhance national initiatives providing clean water and sanitation services to all Zimbabweans.
