Tinashe Mutarisi For generations, Zimbabweans have always been keen to decorating their houses. History proves that Ndebele house decorations or Shona interior murals were one of the most important aspects of people in the rurals. It showed a sense of renewal, elegance and identity. This was usually done with pigments made from locally sourced raw materials like plants and soils.

Fast forward to present day, We now have brands like Nash Paints. Paint is now advanced, modified and easily accessible in different and unique shades. Houses are still being painted and decorated in the same essence as before.

When i think of painting a house, office, or anything common, i think of family. I think of knowledge and legacy being passed from generation to generation. For years we have been painting houses traditionally and with technology too.

My concept is to prove that painting is more than covering walls, its an art of renewing our spirits through new colours, its a process of giving identity to your domain. This is a process of dressing ourselves through where we live and stand ready to welcome visitors in love and in unity.
