*Madziwa Township to Host Mashonaland Central’s Monthly Clean-Up Drive This Friday*
Mashonaland Central Province will once again turn out in force this Friday, 5 June 2026, as Madziwa Township becomes the focal point for the Provincial Clean-Up Campaign. The exercise will kick off at 0800hrs, with residents, community leaders, local authorities, and volunteers expected to gather at Madziwa Township to restore order and pride to the area.
The clean-up has grown into a cherished tradition across the province, observed every first Friday of the month as part of Zimbabwe’s national commitment to environmental health and civic responsibility. In Madziwa, this month’s edition is expected to draw strong participation from schools, churches, business owners, and households, all united by the goal of creating cleaner streets, cleared drainage systems, and healthier public spaces.
Provincial officials say the initiative goes beyond collecting litter. It’s about changing mindsets and building a culture where every citizen takes ownership of their surroundings. Madziwa’s selection as this month’s host underscores the township’s role as a growing economic and residential hub in Shamva District, and organizers are calling on everyone to arrive early, bring gloves and brooms, and play their part.
As the clock strikes 8am on Friday, Madziwa will join other communities across Mashonaland Central in proving that small, consistent actions can transform towns one Friday at a time.
