The ACCA Invest in Alberta’s Continuing Care: Think Tank 2026 brought together leaders across financing, development, regulation, and operations to examine what comes next for continuing care in Alberta.

As a panel sponsor, Integrated Strategic Partners engaged in the conversation as the sector moves from commitment toward implementation.

Building on the 2025 forum, this year’s discussions focused on how policy direction and capital commitments are beginning to translate into planning, investment, and delivery activity.

As Alberta moves forward, the conversation is shifting from commitment to ex*****on.

The 2026 Spring Economic Update has been tabled by Finance Minister François-Phillipe Champagne, outlining revised deficit projections and new spending measures since Budget 2025.

Two major pressures are shaping Canada’s economic outlook: ongoing U.S. tariffs on Canadian exports and disruptions to global oil and LNG shipments stemming from conflict in the Middle East.

The ISP team was proud to attend the 2026 United Way Red Tie Gala last night—celebrating 85 years of community impact in the Alberta Capital Region.

From the Awards of Distinction to an evening of connection and purpose, it was a powerful reminder of what's possible when community comes together.

Thank you United Way of the Alberta Capital Region for bringing us all to the table.

A clean sweep for the Liberal Party in the federal by-elections—securing Scarborough Southwest, University-Rosedale, and Terrebonne, and crossing the 172-seat threshold for a majority in the House of Commons.

The result marks a material shift for Prime Minister Carney's government, moving from minority to majority governance heading into key decisions on fiscal policy, energy, and Canada–United States trade.

Integrated Strategic Partners (ISP) has released a full brief on the results and what they mean.

Beyond the headlines, the real impact of the proposed MGA changes will come down to implementation.

The framework introduces independent investigations and clearer conduct standards — both widely supported.

But it also shifts costs to municipalities and centralizes authority with the province.

For smaller and rural communities in particular, that balance will matter.

With a new Minister leading this file, there is a window to engage on how this framework is finalized.

Because in a model like this, the details don’t just matter — they define how accountability works in practice.

A major shift in municipal governance is taking shape in Alberta.

The proposed amendments to the Municipal Government Act (MGA) introduce a provincewide Councillor Accountability Framework — replacing local codes with a single, standardized approach.

Key changes include:
– A universal code of conduct for elected officials
– Independent, provincially appointed investigators
– Expanded authority for Municipal Affairs to initiate investigations
– New transparency measures, including public salary disclosure

The direction is clear: more consistency, more oversight, and a more centralized model of accountability.

For municipalities, this raises important questions about implementation, cost, and local autonomy.

We’re tracking what this means — and where it goes next.

A strong close to Day 2 of DEFSEC West—at a defining moment for Canada’s defence sector.

As Canada reaches NATO’s 2% defence spending target, conversations around capability, investment, and readiness are accelerating.

We were proud to bring together industry, government, and military leaders in Calgary, alongside a compelling address on Army Transformation from Lieutenant-General Michael Wright.

Thanks to everyone who joined us at the Integrated Strategic Partners (ISP) DEFSEC West Dinner.
