There is a reason I went MIA from photography and content on Instagram. It stopped serving any business purpose. Being passionate about motorsport and wanting to do content as a job was proving impossible living in Canada.

That’s why I have been writing on LinkedIn for the last two years, slowly becoming that weird guy on LinkedIn. I really don’t care, business-wise, this has accelerated my company’s growth.

It’s a little story time. The tattoo bet made it out of the Clubhouse room.

Before the 2021 season, Clubhouse was all the talk. I connected with many individuals within that space, and we talked about F1 and liveries launches before the season kicked off in specific rooms.

I ended up meeting some fantastic people through that.

One of them being .mondino. Before the season kicked off, Harvey and I spoke extensively about Lando and Riccardo and their pairing at McLaren, Harvey being a Lando Fan and me being a Dany Fan.

I bet with Harvey that if Daniel Ricardo were ahead of Lando in the championship, he would get a tattoo. It was undecided at that time what that tattoo would be.

Vice versa.

If Lando beat Riccardo in the championship, I would get a tattoo. I think you know where this story is headed.

I was planning on getting a 4>3 just on the wrist originally (clearly, it didn’t pan out that way)

So when I lost, I had to think of something; my appointment happened right after Abu Dhabi 2021.

I wanted to get one for a long time anyway, so this seemed the perfect excuse to meld it in with a more significant piece in mind.

Still, I Rise is Hamilton’s quote, the mask signifying COVID and the skull. Well, that’s a story for another day.

I decided to put the four and three inside the skull’s eyes.

But now it looks like either the tattoo artist or I messed up Hamilton‘s race number.

I’m glad I could show Natalie Pinkham and hopefully show it to Dany Ric one day.

As to why she is mad at ! You will have to watch the podcast to find out.

5 years and running for the show, it’s only getting bigger and better each year. Always got love for and the entire Prince crew for helping and supporting me when I started dabbling into automotive photography.

How do you wrangle over 250,000+ people in one day? You call one man, Steve Somermeyer, Head of Safety Patrol at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

If we are being honest, it takes more than one man to manage the experience of a small city.

I had the privilege to sit down with Steve before the Indy 500 kicked off.

Steve’s story was fascinating:

➡️ When he first tried to work at IMS, they didn’t have applications (only for friends, families, and neighbours).

➡️ He started by parking cars and wanted to be involved because he loved the cars.

➡️ Transitioned to managing people and fans.

➡️ Transformed the Head of Safety role and improved the fan experience.

➡️ Despite doing this job since the '70s, the elation and excitement were always there during race day, except during the pandemic years when the experience couldn't be replicated.
