Chris Fulmer has this thing he does with clients. He pulls up their website mid-meeting, then asks them straight up: what's your value proposition?

Half the time it's not on the site anywhere. The other half, it's buried so deep or worded so vague you'd never spot it as a customer.

Here's the misconception: people think having a value prop in their head counts. It doesn't. If it's not communicated clearly where people actually look, it doesn't exist.

"I'm not the smartest person in this room. Guaranteed."

That's how Brendan McAdams opens sales meetings. Sounds like the last thing a salesperson should say, right? But that's exactly why it works.

When he brings in engineering or account management to talk cybersecurity or implementation, nobody's surprised. He already told the room he's not the expert. That honesty builds more trust than any pitch deck ever could.

Full episode has more on why sharing credit closes bigger deals.

Everyone's using AI to build "high-converting" landing pages right now. Here's the problem: so is everyone else.

That high conversion rate you're chasing only existed because most websites used to be badly built. Now that AI levels the playing field, the same template, same layout, same button placement shows up everywhere. What made it stand out disappears the moment it becomes the default.

Congrats, you didn't build a high-converter. You built the new normal.

Full episode has more on why sameness is the real cost of AI shortcuts.

A logistics company once posted recruiting stats about how many miles their drivers covered in a year.

Only problem: the numbers were physically impossible. Do the math on miles per driver and it falls apart instantly.

It was AI-generated. Nobody checked it. And it went from their usual 8-10 comments to 500+ comments, plus press coverage. Just not the kind you want.

This is the real risk with AI content. Not that it sounds robotic. That it makes stuff up confidently, and confident nonsense spreads fast.

AI can spot a rare disease pattern faster than most physicians. It can speed up radiology reads too. But will it single-handedly rip cost out of the healthcare system? Brendan McAdams isn't buying it.

His point: healthcare is a hairball of disparate systems, legacy workflows, and processes that vary hospital to hospital. AI helps at the edges. It doesn't untangle the whole thing. Anyone selling a "revolutionary" health tech AI product should sit with that distinction before writing the pitch deck.

Would you let a chatbot practice medicine on you?

That's the question Brendan McAdams raises in this clip, and it's not rhetorical. If AI is triaging symptoms or talking someone through a mental health crisis, at some point it's functionally practicing medicine. So who licenses that? What happens when it gets it wrong?

Then there's the data question. Behavioral health, diagnoses, personal history — do you want that sitting inside OpenAI's servers? Brendan doesn't pretend to have clean answers here, and honestly, neither does the industry yet.

Worth two minutes if you're building or buying anything in health tech.
