Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we recognize and honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities.

We were honoured to print these orange shirts for the Purolator team as they wear orange today in recognition of this important day.

If you’ve called, emailed, stopped by the shop, ordered through one of our online stores, or followed us on social media, there’s a good chance you’ve crossed paths with Yvonne.

What’s your role at Precision Textiles?
A little bit of everything! I work closely with our small-business and organization clients, but a big part of my role is managing our webstore programs. I also manage our website, marketing and social media.

What do you enjoy most about your work?
I love being part of a team. I like figuring things out, learning new things and helping or coaching when I can. I’m also a bit of a nerd when it comes to websites, online stores, design and finding better ways to do things.

Fun fact?
I have an unreasonable number of browser tabs open at any given time. I refuse to close them because I know where everything is.

Favourite drink?
Coffee. Always coffee.

Whether she’s building an online store, working with a local business, updating the website, creating content or troubleshooting something behind the scenes, Yvonne usually has a few things on the go — and several thousand tabs open while she does it.

25 years later, we remember.

Today we honour the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families forever changed, and the extraordinary courage of the first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away.

From Canada, we remember alongside our American neighbours — with particular gratitude for the firefighters, paramedics, police officers and everyday people who answered the call that day.

Some moments are bigger than borders.

We will never forget.
