Why don't I post as I go? ⬇️

Posting without a plan isn’t sustainable or efficient, and will eventually lead to burnout—both physically and creatively.

Imagine trying to come up with fresh ideas, produce high-quality content, and upload it every single day. 🫠

Instead, I take a different approach: batching content. This means I dedicate specific time to create a week or a month's worth of content in one sitting. By planning and preparing in advance, I ensure that I always have a steady stream of content ready to go. No more last-minute scrambling or stressing about what to post each day.

Batching content not only saves time, but it also allows me to focus on other important aspects of my business, like engaging with my audience and strategizing for future growth. Plus, it helps me maintain a consistent and cohesive brand presence across multiple accounts.

The best part? It keeps my creativity flowing.

As a social media manager and owner of a social media management agency, you might think my day starts with a scroll through Instagram or checking client accounts.

But, NOPE! I deliberately choose not to be on social media when I start my morning 🧘‍♀️✨

Running an agency means I’m constantly busy, managing multiple client accounts and leading a small team. It’s a lot, and for a while, I used to dive straight into social media as soon as I woke up. But when I made the shift to start my mornings away from the screen, everything changed. I found myself more productive, focused, and mentally prepared to tackle the day ahead.

More importantly, I realized I needed to prioritize time with my family before diving into work. This intentional time has not only helped me maintain a healthier work-life balance, but it’s also made me feel more recharged and in control of my day.

I encourage anyone working in social media, or even from home, to be mindful of their personal time. Create a clear boundary between work and your personal life. Trust me, it makes a world of difference!

Let’s talk about the latest trend in social media: 'Faceless Reels.' 🌟

While I do use faceless reels occasionally, they shouldn’t be your only content. Consistently using them means your audience misses out on seeing you, making it harder to build genuine connections and trust.

Plus, many faceless reels use third-party content, leading to repetitive footage across accounts. In a saturated social media landscape, blending in is the last thing you want.

My advice? Mix it up! Include yourself in your reels to create a deeper connection and stand out.

Attention! Your followers aren’t seeing your stories! 🚨🥲

Have you been told to post 6-7 times on your stories every day? You’re not alone. And while it’s important to be active on your stories, there’s a crucial step many overlook.

The rundown: Before you start posting new stories, wait a FULL 24 hours. This allows your previous day’s stories to expire. Your first story typically gets the most views, but as you keep posting, the views start to drop 👎🏼

Why does this matter? If you continue to post stories with declining views, Instagram’s algorithm takes note and stops showing your stories to your audience, resulting in lower engagement. This is especially detrimental if you’re using stories to sell!

So, what should you do? Let your stories expire after 24 hours and make your first new story super engaging! This way, Instagram will keep pushing your stories to your followers. Then, repeat the process!

📢 What’s the deal with hashtags?

There's no hashtag slander here! I truly believe in them still. Now, would I flood my captions with 20-30 hashtags like in 2015? No. But I still regularly use them because they are still relevant. They help categorize your content, connecting it to what your audience is searching for.

Think of hashtags like little labels on files in a filing cabinet. It’s the same concept here. They help to connect your content to what your audience is searching for.

How do you correctly use them? You don’t need 20-30 hashtags. Instead, I love recommending the 3x3x3 method:
1. 3 that describe who your audience is
2. 3 that are location-based
3. 3 that are product/service-based

What does this do? It helps to create keywords for your content that will help to organize and target your content to your target audience. Use these in conjunction with keywords in your caption, and you’ll have a much higher chance of your audience seeing and resonating with your posts!
