Colouring the Queen: Java Post colour grading on “Elizabeth II: The Unseen Photos”

Photo 1: Java Post did colour grading and final mastering for “Elizabeth II: The Unseen Photos,” a two-part documentary series scheduled for broadcast on BBC Select USA, Channel 5 UK, and SBS Australia.

A co-production of Saskatchewan and B.C. production company, Wavelength Entertainment, and ESky Digital, based in Brighton, UK, “Elizabeth II: The Unseen Photos” marks a century since the birth of Queen Elizabeth II, charting the life and reign of Britain’s longest-serving monarch. Newly uncovered photographs reveal her extraordinary journey from young princess to global icon.

Photos 3 & 4: colourist Jack Tunnicliffe spent many hours working on interview segments with Royal insiders, historians, and palace-trusted photographers who chart the Queen’s journey from Princess to Queen, revealing how she learned to use photography to shape her image and become an enduring symbol of stability as the world changed around her.

is proud to be part of “Something Pointless.”

Java Post Production is very pleased to learn that the short drama “Something Pointless” will make its World Premiere as a finalist and official selection of the 56th USA Film Festival in Dallas, Texas, on April 23rd.

Java Post Production colourist, Jack Tunnicliffe did the colour grading on the short film and Java Post Production also handled the final mastering for the project.

Following its world premiere in Dallas, “Something Pointless” will travel to the 79th annual Yorkton Film Festival in Saskatchewan, where it has already received its first award nomination for Best Short Film.

Written by International Emmy-nominee David Cormican and Neil Graham, and directed by Asa Bailey, “Something Pointless” follows an inter-generational bond that forms between a lonely, bullied boy and an elderly man whose quiet, pointless daily ritual becomes an unlikely act of defiance against insignificance.

The film stars Leo Harris (The Count of Monte Cristo, Lost Boys & Fairies) as The Boy Who Never Smiles, alongside BAFTA-winner Owen Teale (Game of Thrones, Dream Horse, The Rig), six-time Olivier Award-nominee and winner Sophie Thompson (Gosford Park, EastEnders, Coronation Street), and SAG Award-nominee Sule Rimi (The Day of the Jackal, Andor).

Something Pointless is produced by David Cormican of Fun Republic Pictures and Asa Bailey of BAI-LEY, with executive producers Shawn Christensen and Damon Russell (both Academy Award-winners), Brenden Hubbard (Webby Award-winner), Anand Ramayya (Gemini Award-winner) , Dwayne Hill (Emmy-nominee), and Zane Lackey. The film features cinematography by BAFTA-winner Keefa Chan, editing by Laurence Cohen, casting by multi-CDG award-nominee Victor Jenkins CDG CSA, and an original score by Andrea Bellucci (Skydance’s Behemoth, League of Legends).

Something Pointless was shot on location in Newport, Wales in May 2025.

was very pleased to contribute some of the visual effects to the new feature film, November 1963

Directed by two-time Academy Award nominee Roland Joffé (The Killing Fields, The Mission), the movie stars John Travolta (Pulp Fiction), Robert Carlyle (The Full Monty, Trainspotting), Dermot Mulroney (Anyone But You), Mandy Patinkin (The Princess Bride), Jefferson White (Yellowstone), and Thomas Fiscella (Jersey Boys National Tour).

The story unfolds over the 48 hours leading up to the assassination of U.S. president John F. Kennedy, centering on the figures in the shadows - the mobsters, intermediaries and political players whose backdoor dealings helped shape one of the most debated events in modern history.

Nicholas Celozzi, the grand-nephew of mobster and Chicago Outfit boss Sam Giancana, wrote the screenplay based on the accounts of Joseph “Pepe” Giancana, who spent two days with Sam prior to Kennedy’s assassination. The film also draws on eyewitness testimonies and declassified Kennedy files.
