A marketing budget shouldn’t just be a number you’ve always worked with.

It should be based on what you actually want the business to achieve - and whether the investment behind it realistically supports those goals.

Chris explains why businesses need to look at where their marketing budget came from, what it’s expected to deliver, and whether it needs to change.

Planning your next stage of growth? Speak to the Digity team.

AI search has been difficult to measure for a long time. Now Google is starting to give businesses a much clearer view.

The new Generative AI Performance report in Search Console can show which pages are appearing in AI-powered results, how many impressions they’re receiving and where that visibility is coming from.

The real question isn’t just whether the numbers are increasing - it’s whether Google is surfacing the parts of your business you actually want to be known for.

We’ve broken down what the new report shows, what to look for and how businesses can use the data more intelligently.

Backlinks still matter. But they’re no longer the only signal worth paying attention to. AI platforms can also build an understanding of your business through reviews, articles, expert commentary, citations, videos and wider brand mentions - even when there isn’t a clickable link back to your website.

That wider layer of authority is where frontlinks come in. Our latest blog looks at what frontlinks are, how they differ from backlinks and why the wider conversation around your brand could become increasingly important for AI visibility.

Getting people to your website is only half the job. Once they arrive, your site needs to guide them clearly towards the next step - whether that’s making an enquiry, booking a call or finding out more.

If that journey isn’t obvious, you could be losing opportunities.

Google Analytics is becoming much more conversational.
With Ask Advisor, marketers can ask questions about their data in plain English and get useful insights back without digging through endless reports.

That sounds simple, but it could have a real impact on how quickly teams understand performance and make decisions.

We’ve taken a closer look at what Ask Advisor actually does, where it could be useful, and what marketers should be thinking about as AI becomes more embedded in GA4.

If you use Google Analytics regularly, this is one worth understanding.

AI is already forming an opinion about your business.

The question is - have you checked what it’s saying?

In this reel, Chris shares a simple exercise every business should try: ask AI what it knows about your company, how it would describe you, who it thinks your ideal customers are and where it sees you fitting in the market.

The answers can be surprisingly useful. They can highlight gaps in your messaging, reveal how clearly your business is understood online and even give you ideas for content or areas to strengthen.

It’s a quick check, but one that can tell you a lot about how your brand is being interpreted.

Try it with your own business - and see what comes back.

Google Ads is changing how target-based bidding works for campaigns that are limited by budget.

From 17 August 2026, campaigns using Target CPA or Target ROAS will begin optimising more consistently towards the targets entered by the advertiser.

While this may create more predictable results, it could also affect campaigns that are currently outperforming those targets. Before the update takes effect, advertisers should review their settings carefully rather than automatically accepting Google’s recommendations.
