As Trump trumped our intended April trip to Bahrain, we decided to take the girls and partners to Dorset for a few days as all the guys had something to celebrate…A pay rise, qualifying as a Doctor, a new job offer, a very successful work experience and a belated Mothers Day celebration with the girls. All had something to raise a glass to…except me.

Then, right on cue, a quick glance at my phone. An email from one of our brilliant delivery reps had landed with perfect timing, letting me know that Love Water had just nudged from 4.9 to a full 5 stars on Trustpilot.

Another pint justified!

Love Water are looking for people local to Hookwood who have a few hours spare during the week/weekends who could come to our warehouse and help us with a major project of relabelling bottles. Hours available would be between 9-1pm Monday to Friday (Minimum one day of 3 hours) and possibly options for Saturday and Sunday. Hourly wage between £10 - £12.30 per hour. It got me thinking when I listened to this Love Water plug – 50 years of listening and dancing to this great music called Northern Soul.

If you get to the end of the video, you will see a pic of me as a sweet innocent (?)15 or so old at one of my very first bashes.

I could have continued chess, rugby, boxing, footy but no, all these fell by the side and the only thing that stuck was sweet soul music. It’s kept me fit…(or at least fitter than if I didn’t have it in my life), met lifelong friends who many have turned into business customers or suppliers.

It’s opened doors to supplying these great Northern Soul events with my water dispensers to encourage DJ’s to drink water and not just beer! – with the slogan “ Love Water – Refreshing the parts that alcohol can’t get to”. And together we preach to the dancers to keep hydrated to perform at their very best on the floor to this sometimes pulsating high energy music.

💜 We love the charity that Love Water supports, and we chose them for a very special reason.

While every charity has a worthwhile cause, we wanted to align with a small organisation doing mighty things. That’s how we connected with Jigsaw4U, a fantastic charity supporting children and young people through tough times.

A few years ago, they contacted us, frustrated with their existing supplier, and asked if we could help and maybe offer a charity discount. We were more than happy to oblige.
From there, things flowed…

✔️ We decided to offer their water dispenser service completely free of charge
✔️ We donated water to a few of the trips they organised for the children
✔️ And we now make a contribution for every new Love Water customer

We’ve also raised funds with things like the London to Brighton cycle ride, which brought in around £1,500. Not bad for a few sore legs!

Small charity. Big impact. And we’re proud to support them..

From MD to Delivery Rep – for one very refreshing day.

Day to day business always seems to be so busy, that its been a long time since I forced myself to make the time to do one job that is so important and satisfying.

So… I downed the keyboard, swapped my brogues for steel-toecaps, threw on a Love Water shirt, and became a Love Water Delivery Rep for the day! 💪🚚💧

It gave me a brilliant chance to see our customers through the eyes of our Distribution Team — and to witness first-hand how well they’re received.

We even got a glowing Trustpilot review from a customer I delivered to during the day....They didn’t mention my name, but I am taking all the credit!

Nick recently enjoyed a well-deserved lunch and end-of-year chat with Martin, our Love Water Distribution Manager. 🍽️💬

Reflecting on 2024, it’s clear we had our fair share of challenges—like setting up over 150 water dispensers for a massive two-week event and then dismantling them all afterward. And yes, this happened during our already busy summer period! 😅💧

Thanks to our solid distribution team and everyone "mucking in", we not only pulled it off but also ended the year on a high note. 💪✨ Now, after a refreshing break, we’re geared up and ready to tackle whatever 2025 has in store! 🚀
