I'm Kristal Bowdler, a 40-something living in Poole, Dorset, with my husband, two children, two dogs and two cats. I'm also a keen horse rider and love riding my daughter's horse, Puzzle. I have over 12 years' experience working with social media, graphics, websites and marketing. After a lot of encouragement from friends and family, I finally set up my own design consultancy! I'm here for advice on designing whatever your business needs. I'm super friendly and believe in working closely with you to create exactly what you want. If you'd like, I can manage your business social media for you — or set you up and train you so you can run it yourself. I don't just do social media though; I also design, build and manage websites (experienced in both WordPress and Squarespace), plus PowerPoint presentations, flyers, posters and invitations. I can even crochet you a bobble hat! I previously spent 10 years working at a school, managing their social media and website, making marketing videos, and designing brochures, prospectuses, play programmes and their annual yearbook — this year's edition ran to 120 pages. I also spent several years as Club Administrator at a local riding stables, where my role covered social media, photography, video and running the club website, alongside organising and scoring equestrian competitions from small friendly shows up to British Eventing. This experience led me to volunteer for a local charity, , helping with their marketing, website and social media. I was proud to receive their Founders' Award in 2023. Lesley, Founder and Trustee of the charity, said: "This award was given to the person who does so much for the charity and is a complete constant in my life. She rewrites my jumbled social media posts, designs everything on our website and social media, and is a wizard of design and technology." In my spare time in the evenings, I crochet — I absolutely love it! I run a little venture called Pom Pom A La Kristal, making brightly coloured crochet hats with oversized pom poms, along with baby blankets, bonnets, booties and cardigans. I'm currently working on a bunny rabbit!
