So far this year DevZen has helped set-up several new computers for home users including backing up and transferring materials from old devices. A few older devices have been repaired, for one client a new backup system put in place, for another client their websites and domain names have been transferred to a new host and is now all in their name/control, several website demo sites set-up which clients are reviewing at present, and more.

Continuing to work with one of our first clients to look at refreshing their website including adding some exciting projects they have been working on but also getting ready, that is final touches, to a website refresh for a new client.

New parts in our iPhone 6S this week meaning it will go for a bit longer. Sticking with the Apple theme have had a MacBook Air 2020 in for repair this week. Also been fixing a few other laptops with WiFi issues and updating a few websites too.

Have spent part of this week keeping website code up-to-date, few bits of clean up, checking various settings, and ensure all is backed up. Not anything the end user will notice but still vital to keeping a website running smoothly. Now end of the week must mean backup time. This is something I regularly find people do not do, not realising how important it is until it is too late. If nothing else, get a basic back up done. If you can 3 copies of your data, 2 different media and 1 off site, the 3-2-1 rule as a basic.

We have been reviewing a demo website for a new, based, client which we are progressing. Fault finding on one laptop and implementing a simple backup policy. If nothing else, get a backup done, do it regularly and test it.
