I’m 43, and Im not afraid to admit that :
1. I don’t know how to make friends, and I’m scared it’s a weakness I may be passing on to my kids - I don’t want the disadvantage that comes with this for them so I’m trying to be more intentional for their sake
2. 90% of my students say I’m the most patient coach they’ve met, but I’m impatient in my own life and with myself. I’m very critical of myself, and I hold myself to very high standards in my work. I have a compulsion to do everything fast, my decisions, my idea executions, i want to save as much time as i can - postponing things or waiting is very difficult for me and I’m at this moment in my life where God is telling me to sit my A** down, rest and wait, and its been the most difficult thing I’ve had to do in a long time
3. I’ve been single for the past 2.5 years, and it’s been the best years of my life - contrary to what I thought when I was walking out
4. I told myself that I’m too busy to add coaching to the work I was doing building my agency , started coaching fully 2.5 yrs ago and I’ve made triple the amount of money and impact that I made in my agency in 7 yrs.
I realize I can only try my best , but when I’ve taken actions despite my fears , when I do things scared , I look back and become thankful that I did it afraid.
What are you doing afraid at this moment ? If you need a safe space to share this is it
