Bold, romantic brand for ❤️‍🔥🌸

Jess is the florist behind Paper Daizy, based in Sydney, Australia. Her mission? Cultivating romantic wedding moments through bold garden-style floral design.

Jess redid her branding a year ago, but it just wasn’t sitting right with her creative, colourful floral style. Her website that she had done herself was also very muted and minimal, and didn’t let her personality shine through ✨

The brief included:

🌸 Pink, hot pink, and red (match made in heaven)

🌸 A detailed illustration of a paper daisy, of course

🌸 A website that makes her stand out and connects with her customers

So stoked with the result! Jess was a dream client and I had so much fun with the extra illustrations and whimsical web design.

Jess now has a striking, modern brand that reflects her unique style, a full logo suite, and an SEO and mobile-friendly website to reach more people on Google.

Oh hey it’s me, speaking on a panel! 👋🏽

A huge pinch-me moment last month 💕 and now I’m back in my beloved Tokyo, I am reminiscing on a wonderful trip back home filled with some pretty epic moments like this.

Last month I had the honour of being invited to a event as a panelist ✨

Biggest takeaway from the event?

Community > Competition

I used to struggle so much with comparison-itis, spending hours scrolling the gram checking out what my peers were up to 🤦‍♀️

But this year I have worked heaps on only comparing my journey to, well, my own journey.

Now I feel like I have the tools to fully embrace my freelancing community and experience genuine connections in the industry.

Supportive and encouraging events like these only build that feeling up 🌿

Big thank you to the keynote speaker Laura from for her inspiring presentation and story, and to the other panelists .holidays and .co.nz for some seriously good answers to the audience questions 🙌🏽

What’s helped me transform my marketing mindset ❤️‍🔥

As a service-provider who used to get stressed every time I though about posting to the gram 🤦‍♀️

Full disclosure, I’m not a marketing or social media expert…

BUT I do have personal experience that my fellow solopreneurs might find helpful as you start planning for your new year business goals 💕

Marketing is not instagram, it’s your whole approach to finding and retaining your clients and customers.

… treat it that way and you’ll enjoy it more, I promise!

Here’s the tea:

✨ Prioritise done over perfect for more efficient content creation, and more fun with your marketing strategy.

✨ Streamline processes by focusing on planning original content before creating the visuals.

✨ Don’t look to competitors, look to your audience and dream customer.

✨ Embrace holistic content marketing over social media marketing.

✨ Use templates for time-saving and messaging consistency.

✨ Experiment with content forms that connect with your business goals, and what you genuinely enjoy creating.

Remember that everybody and their business journey is SO different.

👉🏽 There are no overnight hacks, and no way to create a month’s worth of content in 30 minutes.

That, my dear friends, is what we call, clickbait. Ignore it 🧘🏽‍♀️

We worked together through the design and build of the eCommerce website, and developed a professional space that reflects her growing floristry business.

A little wellness moodboard for some personal inspo 💜

It’s been a hectic few months filled with lots of ✨website design✨ and technical things, which I absolutely LOVE…

But I felt like I needed to flex the branding muscles 🌿 and there’s some new design styles, colour palettes, and fonts I’ve been wanting to try too hehe.

So I thought what better way to test these out than a little passion project!

I’ve really noticed a huge difference in my energy when I don’t take the time for myself to look after my body (on that note, is 27 too young to have a sore back all the time? 🤪) My main focus for the rest of the year is to move every day 🧘🏽‍♀️
