A generic contact form is just as useless as a generic email.

It costs you time, money & focus, and it devalues your entire client experience.

The alternative = an automated workflow that qualifies leads FOR you, so you're not going back-and-forth with people that may not even be the right fit for your biz.

Think about the conditions of what makes someone the perfect client (& what doesn't!):

πŸ‘‰ Do you only work with service-based businesses?
Make that a clear selection on your form. Send an automated email to other businesses with links to relevant digital products (if any), or include referral links, or decline the service.

πŸ‘‰ Do you require businesses to be established?
Use conditional fields to automate the next steps for new business owners with the DIY options to work with your brand.

πŸ‘‰ Do you need clients to submit certain data or reports before booking?
Add in an attachment field for anything you'll inevitably have to ask for in the next step, or make it clear in the automated email after submission.
..again, what's IMPORTANT for someone to become a client?

Your questions should be easy-to-answer, NOT long-winded, and allow you to fill your inbox with leads who *actually* want to talk business.

If you use a generic contact form to reduce barriers to contact, you're also making it harder on yourself to attract & convert QUALITY

On the people side? Ensure no one is left waiting, out of the dark, or forced into an uninformed decision.

But what about the TARGET? 🎯

Scroll on back to our post on OKRs β€” a framework for setting objectives & key results in your online biz. The same goes for your marketing strategy.

If you're in a season of posting with the goal to increase revenue + profit... you need to think about the target > the goal.

The goal is far reaching, unachievable even, more ambiguous (i.e. generate qualified leads; will all leads be qualified? Maybe not, but you CAN quantify the discovery calls & check the box when achieved).

And the target = specific. What you're working towards with your ACTIONS.

The target, in this case, is to upsell your mastermind to 10 course students within the space of 3 months. Something you're able to see, feel, achieve.
