Can I be honest with you for a second?
Every time someone comes to me feeling off about their brand, the instinct from them is always the same…
new logo, new colours, fresh start.
And I get it. It feels like the obvious fix.
But almost every single time? The design isn’t the problem.
Something is happening underneath that a rebrand won’t touch. And until you figure out what that actually is, you’ll just keep cycling through new visuals and wondering why nothing ever quite sticks.
So if you’re in that in-between where you’ve grown, something feels off, but you’re not sure if it’s a you problem or a brand problem - these are the questions I’d ask you first:
01. When did you last feel genuinely proud to share your brand?
What was different then? Has something shifted in you, your offer, or who you’re trying to reach?
02. Who have you become since this brand was built?
Because you’ve grown. Your experience, your values, your clients have probably shifted too. Does your brand still reflect that?
03. What do you want people to feel when they encounter you — and does it actually do that?
Not what it looks like. What it feels like. Two very different things.
04. Where does your brand stop you from showing up fully?
If there’s something you want to say or do that feels out of step — that tension is telling you something.
05. Does your brand feel good to run, or just good to look at?
Because it should make showing up feel easier and more like you. Not harder.
