Never underestimate the power of a pet, our Miss Hazelnut helps to relax a worried mind, calm a anxious tummy and will listen to any problems which melt away. She also loves a chin scratch and getting into her Harry Potter dress up 🥰

Take time to support, listen and care, for those who look like you and me may be different on the inside🌻

April is Autism Awareness Month…
and it’s only a few days away.

For some families,
this isn’t just a “month.”

It’s everyday life.

It’s routines that have to be followed.
Meltdowns people don’t understand.
Small wins that mean everything.

It’s patience.
It’s advocacy.
It’s showing up, every single day.

Some days are beautiful.
Some days are hard.

But behind it all
are parents doing everything they can
to support a child the world doesn’t always understand.

So no…
this month isn’t just about awareness.

It’s about being more patient.
More kind.
More understanding.

Because every child deserves to be accepted,
not changed.

Check out our collaboration with Balanced Spine Chiropractic for well-being!
Chiropractic care for children supports healthy spine, nervous system, and musculoskeletal development. Chiropractors use gentle, age-appropriate techniques such as light pressure and movement-based methods. Families often seek care for posture, growing pains, sports strain, or general well-being.

Something that always brings joy is my garden, the yellows are dominant at the moment and my first sunflower 🌻. My girls love being out in our garden, planting and picking. Growing anything be it in a garden or pot is a rewarding activity for children and a great segway to a hands on teaching and learning experience 🥰

Happy 2026 from the team at Sunflower Wellness.
Over the past few months, our focus has been on family and treasuring time together, especially knowing that time with my late father was precious and limited. As a family, we are now gently navigating loss and grief, which often comes in waves—particularly for the children. While it can be difficult, talking about those we have lost, remembering the good times, and honouring them in ways that were meaningful to them can be deeply healing. Including them in everyday conversations keeps their memory alive and can ease the sense of loss. They are never truly gone; they live on in our hearts and minds, and their spirit remains with us always. Love You Dad 🌻

Love this!

Dear teachers,

December is a lot, isn’t it?

The weather is moody. The kids are wired. Everyone’s passing around the same germs.

You’re running on fumes and holding out for those few blessed days off.

And still—you show up.

In your holiday sweaters and twinkly earrings.
With little treats and big smiles.
With patience, creativity, and more love than most people will ever realize.

You’ve steadied our kids through hard days and growing pains.
You’ve taught reading and writing—and how to be kind, brave, and believe in themselves.

You’ve given them so much of your heart.

So this Christmas break, I hope you rest.
Really rest.

Breathe deep.
Sit in silence.
Snuggle your people.

And while you do, please know:
You are making a difference.

You love our babies like they’re your own—and that means more than we can say.

Merry Christmas, dear teachers.
May you feel just how deeply you are loved.
